Profile; Lorraine

Lorraine, female, age in her 60s height 169cm, weight 125kg.

Mother of 3 adult children, retired, except from housework.

For my exercise, I go to a heated swimming centre at Warner's Bay. I am a diabetic, but I have been able to stop taking insulin through changing to a high-fibre diet.

Goal weight: 115kg by Oct 1. (Have lost 35 kg over 3 years, now stuck in the 120s)

Weight loss plan: Not on a diet per se: changed my way of eating foods in high fibre.

Weakness: Biscuit with a cup of tea: so I don't buy them. Found if I allow myself am indulgence once a fortnight will not go of the rails so to speak as much.

Biggest challenge: Making sure I do not go shopping hungry.

Exercise plan: going to the pool in the cold weather, although the pool is heated [getting out is the killer]

Late again ;- Yipeeiiiiiii 120.4 just goes to show what 30 minutes of walking in water every second day does to you . Won't be so cleaver next week ... no pool walking and to birthday parties, oh it was so lush all the calorie filled food yum yum. will have to be on my best behaviour next week. I am nearly out of the 20's so good all thanks to you ides jeff. I think that what people need just somewhere where they can report in their weight. If you fudge the numbers the only person you are hurting is yourself thanks for the help and support

Are you sure it wasn't fluid, Lorraine! 1.4kg is only 1.4 litres. Anyway, gives you the opportunity for a bigger-than-usual loss next week.
