Steve, male, age 42, height 186cm, weight 114kg.

Single, purchasing officer, used to be a mad keen cyclist but after getting knocked off the bike twice I gave up riding and put on 30 odd kg.

Goal Weight: 100kg would be good by Oct 01.

Weight Loss Plan: No more bacon & egg rolls etc for smoko & lunch. Cereal, salads and fruit from now on with salada biscuits etc for snacks.

Weakness: Bourbon and Chinese food, neither of which I’ll be giving up (though I might cut down on the bourbon, maybe).

Biggest Challenge: I have a severe and debilitating genetic condition called laziness.

Exercise Plan: Daily walks with the possibility of it becoming a daily run (shudder) and the chance of sit-ups, push-ups and chin-ups.

To motivate myself properly I’m looking into joining the SES.
