Sisters sold on trading pranks

THE Smith girls, like most sisters, have fallings out.

But Alison, 27, upped the ante when she tried to sell Rebecca, 23, on eBay.

Alison, of Merewether, listed her kid sister on the auction site for $500.

‘‘Me and my sister have always had a love-hate relationship,’’ Alison told us.

‘‘This popped into my head, so I just went with it.’’

There were plenty of offers.

Ever the spoilsport, eBay got in touch to say they couldn’t support human trafficking.

They took down the listing and Rebecca remained in Mayfield, left to imagine the life she could have led in Latvia, Nigeria or whichever regime she ended up in.

Rebecca, incidentally, got back at Alison by setting her up an RSVP profile.

A flood of interested messages ensued, so Alison clicked on her profile.

She was listed as wanting ‘‘a good time’’.
