A MIX of Aussie and overseas chart toppers will perform at the Groovin The Moo festival for 2012.
The series of concerts will kick off in Bendigo on Saturday May 5 and include Maitland on Saturday May 12 at Maitland Showground.
The overseas acts will be lead by English indie rock band Kaiser Chiefs, whose number one UK hits include Ruby, and fellow countrymen The Maccabees.
Po litically charged American Hip Hop stalwarts Public Enemy will also return to Australia for the festival as will Germany’s Digitalism, who played at the Parklife festival last year.
Groovin the Moo favourites The Hilltop Hoods are among the Aussie performers along with Sydney rockers Bluejuice and Matt Corby.
Ra pper 360 will be making the trek from Melbourne for Groovin the Moo as will New Zealand born Kimbra. Corby was number three on the ARIA charts this week with his hit Into The Flame. The Hilltop Hoods sat at number six with I Love It while Kimbra’s massive hit with Gotye Somebody That I Used To Know has dropped to 13th place after 30 weeks in the charts.
Last year’s event at Maitland attracted more then 15,000 revellers to watch acts such as The Wombats, hip hop veterans House of Pain and Aussie favourites Cut Copy and Gotye.
Tickets go on sale for the Maitland event on Wednesday February 15.
