The Kotara wildlife sanctuary is seeking suggestions for a name for the baby girl, who first showed her face less than two weeks ago.

She was one of three koala joeys born at Blackbutt late last year.

At the start of their life, joeys are the size of a jelly bean. They spend about six months inside their mother's pouch before they are big enough to get acquainted with the great outdoors. Blackbutt's newest star now fits in the palm of a hand.

The other two youngsters have not yet appeared.

"We don't see them for the first six months of life," Blackbutt Reserve co-ordinator Bradley West said.

"[Then] they just sort of come outside and sit around in mum's stomach area."

Mr West said she was doing well.

She joins the reserve's koalas, including mother Matilda and father Neo.
