Cessnock family threatened with a gun

18 Jun, 2009 09:44 AM
POLICE are investigating a bizarre incident in which a Cessnock family say they were threatened with a firearm after their parked car was rammed.

The family were inside their Quorrobolong Road house at 10.30pm last night when they heard a loud bang.

Looking outside they discovered a silver Toyota had been rammed into the woman's car left parked outside.

The car then reversed and slammed into her vehicle several more times as they looked on.

The couple told police one of the occupants then pulled out what looked like a gun and pointed it at them.

The vehicle drove off after smashing into the vehicle again.

Police are still investigating the incident but do not believe it was a random attack.
