CITY workers got a taste of this season's fashions and a side of glamour with their lunch yesterday in Newcastle.
The GPT Group staged a fashion parade in Hunter Street Mall ahead of Newcastle Fashion Week next week.
The parade featured the latest styles from outlet stores and traders in the strip.
The "Summer Styling Session" included clothes from Tempt, Foxx Foe, Supre, Tree of Life, Man to Man, Maxx Power, Generation Y, Breakaway and Run Amok Dancewear.
There was also a sneak peek of designer labels that will take centre stage next week.
Fifties glamour was a major theme of the show, which included outfits featuring full skirts, cinched waists and hour-glass shapes.
The summer romance look included floral prints, pastel colours and cropped blazers.
For men, the tailored-short look is in this summer, while for women maxi skirts and crop tops are items of choice.
Nautical prints, harem pants and a little bit of bling also made an appearance on the runway.
"What we were trying to do was showcase how you can get the latest trends and get celeb-style from Hunter Street outlets," event coordinator Tara Ryan said.
