JENNIFER Hawkins is about to add to her fashion empire with a shoe line specialising in high heels.
But during a visit to Newcastle yesterday the beauty said she was most comfortable in her ugg boots at her parent's home at Holmesville.
"I do what everyone else does. I hang around in my PJs and hope no one comes to the door," Hawkins joked.
"My priorities haven't changed. It's about my family and friends."
The model attended a charity fashion lunch at the Commonwealth Hotel yesterday with mum Gail and sister Kristy Vitnell.
The 26-year-old is the face of Myer and has her own swimwear line Cozi, which she is expanding into apparel.
In September she will release her new shoe line JLH (Jennifer Louise Hawkins) in collaboration with Siren Shoes.
"I'm a bit obsessed with shoes, so I approached Siren," she said.
JLH for Siren will be stocked in boutiques and major Myer stores.
"I'd love to one day open a shoe store in Newcastle. It's always been a dream," she said.
The former Miss Universe's huge year in the fashion industry will get another boost on Thursday when she unveils Myer's summer 2010-11 collection, where she will model four designer dresses and her Cozi swimwear.
Hawkins said she was lucky to have a voice as the face of Myer, and didn't feel as much pressure to be thin as some runway models.
"Some are very thin, they don't eat," she said.
Yesterday's lunch raised more than $1000 for The Butterfly Foundation, a charity that supports Australians with eating disorders.
