POLICE are hunting a man who robbed another man at knifepoint at Charlestown yesterday.

The 19-year-old victim was walking through a carpark on Charlestown Road about 4pm when he was approached by a man who produced a knife.

The man held the knife in a threatening manner and demanded the victim’s wallet.

He escaped towards Hillsborough Road with a small amount of cash and personal papers.

Police said the offender was described as in his mid-20s, about 180 centimetres tall, solid build, aboriginal appearance, and with noticable acne.

His hair was cut short at the sides, and he was wearing a black singlet and shorts with a stripe.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

One day one of these grubs might try to hold up another grub with the same motives and the stab each other. With the amount of armed crime lately its quite possible.

@Bill could you explain more about the "stealin generation". is this just a paranoid youth-phobic opinion of yours, or a well researched social Phenomenon. i sincerly doubt its the latter.

Why are you all jumping on the racsial bandwagon, I can not see any race implication in Bills comment. The news article said, "'aboriginal appearance". It did not say he was aboriginal. And jum, we don't need any more smart arse bloggers, the ones all ready here will do.
