Pedestrian threatened by aggressive man

18 Mar, 2010 09:06 AM
A 22-year-old man was threatened on Hunter Street last night, prompting police to release a description of the offender.

The victim was standing at the intersection of Hunter and Steel Streets in Newcastle West when a car pulled up and a man got out of the back passenger's side.

Police said the man from the car became aggressive and took his shirt off to reveal a smiley face tattoo.

The threatened man ran off along Hunter Street and called police, who made a search of the area.

The offender is described as being a 20 to 25, about 170 centimetres tall, with sandy blonde hair, slightly tanned and was wearing jeans and a T-shirt.

Information can be sent to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

should be easy to catch this person specially if he has a tatoo that is reconisable so someone would know who he was unless it was a fake tatoo that washes off
