SILVERCHAIR frontman and ARIA-winning songwriter Daniel Johns was spotted in Newcastle yesterday having coffee with a woman believed to be his new love interest, Louise Van de Vorst.
The pair enjoyed coffee at Customs House on the Newcastle Foreshore before leaving in Johns's dark-green Jaguar.
The Australian rock icon and the Sydney-based model have been linked romantically since late May, after being spotted at a number of Sydney cafes and nightspots.
Johns and Silverchair have kept a low profile since headlining the Big Day Out concerts this year.
Johns split with his wife of four years, London-based recording artist and former Neighbours soap star Natalie Imbruglia, six months ago.
They cited distance as the main reason for their split.
Imbruglia has been linked with British tycoon Sir Richard Branson's son Sam.
