A woman has been found guilty of murder and her husband guilty of the manslaughter of their seven-year-old daughter.
A jury of six men and six women returned their verdicts in East Maitland Supreme Court at 2.17pm this afternoon, on their sixth day of deliberations.
They found the 47-year-old man not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter.
His 35-year-old wife was found guilty of murder.
The Hawks Nest couple were accused of the starvation murder of their daughter in the family home on November 3, 2007.
An autopsy found the girl died of malnutrition and dehydration caused by starvation.
The six men and six women jurors retired last Tuesday to consider their verdict.
The trial was heard in East Maitland Court.
