HOMICIDE detectives have reassessed their hunt for missing man Darren Fishburn after an air and land search failed to find any trace of the man whose wife was found murdered in a Greta home.
Mr Fishburn, 42, has not been seen since the body of his wife, Tammy, was discovered by her daughter on Tuesday morning.
Despite a massive search around the south-western side of Lake Macquarie, there has been no trace of him or his red 1989 model Nissan Patrol, which is also missing.
Police yesterday released a photograph of the vehicle, which bears the number plates YAE-923, in the hope that someone may have seen it.
A police helicopter and ground crews were searching bushland around Wyee after his mobile phone was tracked to the area. But the signal was lost yesterday.
