Theives steal car, beer from fridge in Lambton house

06 Jul, 2009 09:59 AM
A LAMBTON couple woke early this morning to find thieves had broken into their home and stolen their car, a television and beer from their fridge.

A police spokesman said thieves entered the Fifth Street home after 1am through a back door.

They stole a 170 centimetre LCD television, some beer and the keys to their 2008 model Toyota Corolla with registration plates BHR-33T.

It is these unlocked back doors that always cause the problems.

I never leave my back door open.Thats the way they come in as well as the front. If they want something maybe they dont care what way they get in. Maybe they set up a street stall in Hamilton and sold the Beer. I must say I do feel sorry for them

How did they fit a television that size into a Corolla?

Stealing the telly and the car - yeah, okay, but stealing BEER FROM THE FRIDGE - that's just un-Australian!!

That's gotta be a mistake. A 170cm (68 inch) LCD would be worth more than the almost new car and would be seriously difficult to transport, especially in a Corolla!
