POLICE called to a torched car in Edgeworth early this morning found the car had been spraypainted with Nazi symbols.
Emergency services were called to a car fire in Johnson Street about 3.30am. On arrival they found a fire had been started in the rear of a Hyundai Excel.
Firefighters managed to extinguish it before the car's fuel tank went up.
Police later discovered a red swastika spraypainted on one of the car's doors.
Shortly afterwards they discovered similar graffiti painted on play equipment in a nearby park.
Police believe the fire was deliberately lit and are still investigating.
