Burt Cockley selected for Australian one-day cricket team

05 Nov, 2009 09:20 AM
Newcastle fast bowler Burt Cockley has been called into the Australian one-day cricket team.

The former Waratah-Mayfield quick and Victoria's Andrew McDonald will fly to India to join the Australian team for game 6 and 7 of the series.

"I still can't get my head around it," Cockley said this morning.

"When the call came through I couldn't believe that I was playing for Australia."

It is the first time Cockley has been called up to the national squad.
