EDGEWORTH could be forced to play the first leg of their semi-final series against Hamilton without two of their most experienced players.
Volatile former Socceroo Troy Halpin is definitely out of the finals after copping a two-card suspension for his sixth yellow card, and an injury cloud hangs over former national league player Mark Wilson, who hurt his hamstring in Sunday's draw with Weston.
A decision about Wilson's fitness would be made by Friday, Eagles co-coach Gary Wilson said.
Wilson said the game would suffer because of Halpin's absence.
"Now the competition doesn't have one of its best players for the semi-finals series," he said.
He believed Halpin's reputation made him an unfair target of the referees.
"I don't think it was warranted," Wilson said.
"Troy was on his best behaviour that day and did everything to stay out of trouble."
Hamilton coach Mick Bolch said he was not celebrating the absence of Edgeworth's experienced defending duo.
"They have the depth to cover it," Bolch said.
Hamilton will field a full-strength team after resting six players with card trouble in last week's clash against Valentine.
Striker Peter Juchniewicz remains sidelined with quad injury but is hopeful of a return next week.
