NORTHS skipper Silas Moss says it is vital his defence shuts down Maitland's dangerous duo of Ben and Peter Urquart if they are to claim the advantage in the race for the Hunter Coast Men's Premier League Hockey minor premiership.
Maitland host Norths tomorrow and are just one point behind the Blues in the battle for top spot.
Maitland face wooden spooners Gosford and lowly Wests in the last two rounds.
That is why Moss said Norths could ill afford to let the Urquart brothers dominate.
"They are the kings of set plays, and if you give the two Urquart boys space in general play, they will burn you and provide their strikers with great service," Moss said.
Souths will be aiming to hold third spot when they face Wests at Broadmeadow. In other matches, Tigers host The Entrance and Gosford are home to University.
