Hilder stands tall in BNC victory

11 May, 2009 05:00 AM
NEW recruit Natalie Hilder showed sporting ability in the family was not restricted to husband Matt after guiding BNC (1) to a 30-20 win over Junction Hotel (2) in the Newcastle open netball championship at National Park on Saturday.

Hilder moved to Newcastle last year with her rugby league-playing partner after he transferred from Cronulla to the Knights.

A NSW representative and State League netball player before moving north, Hilder showed her class by dominating the mid-court in BNC's resounding win.

Defending champions Nags Head Hotel bounced back from their loss to Hotel Premier the previous week with a comprehensive 47-23 win over Lakeside Village Tavern.

Junction kept their unbeaten record intact courtesy of a thumping 62-26 win over Bilbie Dan.

And Hotel Premier recorded a win after BNC (2) were forced to forfeit.
