NINETEEN-year-old Charlestown amateur Jake Higginbottom fired a final round five-under 67 to win the New Zealand Open in Christchurch today.
The Australian junior representative finished at seven under after rounds of 72, 70, 72, 67.
In winning Higginbottom became the first amateur to claim the title since 1956.
