A truck accident was staged in slow motion at Sandgate this morning to illustrate how the crashes occur.
National Transport Insurance rolled over the 12-tonne vehicle using two tow trucks this morning.
The showcase was aimed at demonstrating how the vehicles are recovered after an accident, as well as showing the mechanics of how they roll.
Risk surveyor Dion Cooper said that ‘‘inappropriate speed’’ was often to blame when the vehicles turned over.
