POLICE are advising motorists that eastbound lanes of Minmi Road, Fletcher, have re-opened after a gas main was ruptured this morning.
Emergency services were called to the intersection of Minmi Road and Churnwood Drive at about 10.45am after workmen ruptured a gas main.
Mimni Road was closed in both directions while emergency services attended the scene.
Motorists are being advised that eastbound lanes of Minmi Road have re-opened and a contraflow is in place.
Parents attending a nearby school are informed that pick-up has not been affected, however, they should expect traffic delays and exercise caution while driving through the area.
Emergency services and the gas company remain on scene while attempting to repair the gas main and restore services to the area.
