Knights five-eighth Ryan Stig's season in doubt

Luckless Knights five-eighth Ryan Stig has a blood clot in his right eye and is likely to miss the remainder of the NRL season.

The 22-year old playmaker spent four days in hospital last week after picking up a infection in his right eye. He was ordered by doctors to lay low and the injury has now been diagnosed as a blood clot leaving his season in jepoardy.

The Morpeth Bulls junior, who stormed on to the scene last year making 13 NRL appearances, has endured a horror six months.

He had three off-season surgeries before a belated comeback in NSW Cup only to be hindered by a back injury.

The Knights are at home to Penrith on Monday night.
