Tuggerah Lakes police have charged a man, 18, after he allegedly bashed a female ambulance officer who arrived in San Remo this morning to treat him.
NSW Ambulance were called to Richardson Road about 1.30am after reports a man was heavily intoxicated and vomiting.
A police spokesman said that as soon as the vehicle stopped the 18-year-old allegedly approached the female driver, 29, and began punching her in the face.
The female was transported to Wyong Hospital where she was treated for injuries to her shoulder.
