HUNTER Valley police are investigating the shooting death of a man on a Sandy Hollow stud this morning.
The man, believed to be aged in his 50s, was found tangled in a fence at the property off Bylong Valley Way.
Detectives and crime scene experts are at the scene.
A police spokesman said the death was not being treated as suspicious and detectives would investigate whether it was the result of an accident.
