Chief Inspector Sorensen described Fishing Point as a lovely residential area.

"Regardless of where it happens it obviously has an impact on neighbours, it has an impact on emergency services that attend," he said.

Police are still unable to identify the deceased as there are a number of people yet to be notified.

A brief is being prepared for the coroner.
