RENOWNED painter John Earle has had his work hung in the Wynne Prize for landscape painting six times, but will today exhibit his work at the Summer Art Bazaar.
The free marketplace in Newcastle's Civic Park is an opportunity for 100 Hunter Arts Network artists and designers to exhibit their fashion, jewellery, accessories, fine art, photography, sculptures and homewares, give demonstrations and suggest unique Christmas presents.
"There is a lovely community feel to it," Mr Earle said.
"You can be a bit isolated just staying at home and working and waiting and hoping people will visit you.
"I love the directness of these markets - going to the public directly just doesn't seem to have happened a couple of decades ago."
Mr Earle said the markets provided art lovers with an affordable way to start investing in local works.
The Art Bazaar will be held in conjunction with Art In The Park, which encourages artists to share their talent with the community.
