THE Court of Criminal Appeal has today rejected Belinda Duncan’s appeal against the severity of her sentence.
Duncan, who lost control of a car in the Hunter Coalfields at high speed, is serving a 12-year jail term for two counts of manslaughter and three counts of dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
She appealed the severity of her sentence on a number of grounds including the extra-judicial punishment in the community that she suffered after the accident.
