WITH many others, I took advantage of the open day at Nobbys lighthouse on May 6, and marvelled at the sight of ships moving in and out of the harbour, helicopters landing on deck, tugs, sailboats, rowers and surfers on the harbour.
What I did not marvel at was the unsightly and sad state of the buildings at Nobbys. Floors were covered in what appeared to be bird droppings and the mouldy ceilings left me feeling ashamed and dismayed. This is our home. Would you invite visitors into yours looking like that?
