A MAN killed after being struck by a car at Muswellbrook last night has been identified as a Korean national.
The family of the 25-year-old are preparing to fly to Australia after he was killed whilst attempting to cross the New England Highway last night.
Police said he was hit by a Kia four-wheel-drive travelling south about 7.30pm.
He suffered critical injuries and was flown by Hunter Westpac rescue helicopter to John Hunter Hospital but was dead on arrival.
The Kia driver, 60, was taken to Muswellbrook Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Hunter Valley police are investigating.
