Police investigating armed robbery at Shortland Grocers By DAN PROUDMAN May 24, 2012, 5:47 a.m.POLICE are investigating the armed robbery of the Shortland Grocers store this afternoon.Several bandits stormed the Sandgate Road business about 3.10pm before escaping with cash.Newcastle City detectives are at the scene.
