The Anderson Medal, first awarded in 1949, is presented to the best and fairest player in the Newcastle and Hunter Rugby Union first-grade competition.
The medal is named after the late Evan James "Tuney" Anderson, a pioneer of rugby in the district who was made a life member of the NHRU in 1941.
