MUDDY footprints from a man and dog were left behind after a wooden swagman sculpture and a lounge suite were stolen from an East Maitland home.
Police said the Elizabeth Street break-in occurred just before 6.30pm last night.
The intruders stole the leather lounge suite, comprising a sofa and two single-seaters.
The sculpture, which measured almost two-metres tall, was also taken.
Muddy man-sized footprints and dog paw prints were found through the house.
