A MAN suffered a cut to his head and a knee injury after his car crashed through a barrier outside the Newcastle Airport terminal.
Emergency services were called to Williamtown Drive, Williamtown, at about 10am.
A car had crashed into a barrier at the front of the airport terminal.
Police said the driver, a 50-year-old man from Salamander Bay, hit the accelerator instead of the brake.
He had a head laceration and a knee injury.
The man was taken to John Hunter Hospital and later released.
