CENTRAL Hunter police are investigating an armed robbery at a Neath service station this afternoon.
A man entered the United service station on Cessnock Road about 4.30pm before threatening staff and demanding cash.
He fled on foot over a back fence towards the Neath Hotel a short time later.
He was described as being aged in his 20s, short and skinny, with short dark brown hair. He had a bandana covering his face.
He was wearing dark blue or black work pants and a dark jacket with an orange stripe.
An officer attached to the NSW Police Dog Unit is in route.
Central Hunter police are investigating.
