POLICE are seeking public help to find a man who robbed a Rutherford service station armed with a hammer and crowbar today.
Central Hunter detectives are investigating after the man walked into the New England Highway business and threatened a female attendant with the tools.
He demanded a sum of cash before fleeing on foot.
He has been described as Aboriginal in appearance with facial hair and a thin build.
Standing between 170cm and 180cm tall, he was wearing a black hoodie with a white baseball cap, grey tracksuit pants and joggers.

Spear gun seized in Adamstown search
POLICE have seized a spear gun and balaclava after searching a car at Adamstown this morning.
A spokesman said police stopped a vehicle on Glebe Road about 1.40am before a drug detection dog was used to search the car.
A small amount of methylamphetamine and cannabis was allegedly seized and an occupant was arrested before being charged with drug offences.
