LETTER:  Bay   bankers  need interest

I WAS saddened and disappointed at the lack of support from the Warners Bay business community for again not providing a New Year’s Eve event due to the rising cost associated with conducting such an event,  even though in the past it has  been well supported and attended by the local community and people like myself who live  outside the suburb.

I counted six major banking institutions in the main CBD of Warner’s Bay.

Surely with the outrageous annual profits these banks are boasting annually, they could chip in and give something back to the community by collectively sponsoring this fantastic spectacular – and put the   smiles back on the faces of the kids and adults who in the past have enjoyed the entertainment and fireworks display!  Come on  you bankers, open your safes and loosen your fat belts.

 Warren Plumb,

Adamstown Heights
