A POLICE dog has allegedly tracked a teenager hiding under a house following a high-speed pursuit through East Maitland this morning.
A spokeswoman said officers tried to pull over a motorcyclist as they patrolled the New England Highway about 3.15am.
However, the rider took off, leading police on a pursuit through East Maitland before dumping the machine at Lawes Street and running off.
The spokeswoman said a dog unit attended and allegedly tracked the rider to a house in Lawes Street, where he was found hiding under the property.
The Tenambit youth, 17, who also had two outstanding arrest warrants, has been charged and refused bail to appear before Broadmeadow Children’s Court this morning.
