SINCE 1988, school students have had the opportunity to don their journalist caps and enter the Newcastle Herald and Newcastle Permanent Building Society School Newspaper Competition.
Teams of up to 15 students are encouraged to enter and create their own two-page newspaper which appears within the pages of the Herald.
Prizes from our competition sponsor the Newcastle Permanent are on offer, including cash prizes for individual students, and a massive $2000 prize for the winning entry.
This year’s competition is now open and any school interested is urged to watch the linked video for more information, or contact the competition co-ordinator, Judith Whitfield at jwhitfield@fairfaxmedia.com.au.
