Kurri Kurri's Melody heading to Nashville

KURRI Kurri’s Melody Pool is off to Nashville after her triumph last night in the Telstra Road to Discovery grand final at the Tamworth Country Music Festival.

Pool, 21, won the songwriting category after performing two original songs,  The Hurting Scene and Henry.

The prize for the guitarist, singer and songwriter is a trip to Nashville.

She has been to the American country music capital before, recording her debut album there.

It is due for release next month.

Gena Rose Bruce (performer) and Genevieve Chadwick (people’s choice) were also winners last night.
