Killer line-up for music festival

CATHERINE Britt will be in familiar territory when she joins the line-up for the Hunter Valley’s Gum Ball festival in April.

Britt joins You Am I frontman Tim Rogers and a host of other musicians, including hillbilly legend Bill Chambers, in The Hillbilly Killers.

Described as ‘‘musical perversity at its best’’, The Hillbilly Killers will be performing an exclusive set at the festival.

Stoner rockers Tumbleweed are also on the bill, as well as Deadly-award winners The Medics, Kiwi act The Eastern, Melbourne rockers Money For Rope and Hunter boys Benjalu.

Fresh from her win at the Telstra Road to Discovery grand final at the Tamworth Country Music Festival on Tuesday, Kurri Kurri artist Melody Pool has also been added to the list of performers.

Previously announced acts include Mojo Juju, Mia Dyson, The Beards, Saskwatch and Katalyst.

Further  announcements are expected for the BYO camping festival, which   has expanded this year  to run over three nights at Belford  from April 25.

Tickets are on sale now at Oztix and Maitland’s Grand Junction Hotel.
