Bingle heats up Cook runway show in Perth

All eyes were on Lara Bingle as Perth designer Garth Cook unveiled his new collection behind The Terrace Hotel.

The model turned reality TV star flew into Perth the day before Cook's show and spent her time working out in Kings Park, checking out rock pools along the coast, hanging out with man-of-the-hour Garth Cook and dining with Eagles player Chris Masten and Billie & Rose store owners Pippa McAuliffe, Emmi Moore and Chris Simmons.

Cook unveiled his "VRH" Spring Summer 2013/2014 collection in a walkway nestled behind the Terrace, where Bingle stayed during her visit.

The collection, six looks split over 30 Chadwicks models, featured a mix of floaty pastels, gleaming faux crocodile skin, shimmering sheer dresses (albeit one that caused a nipple slip) and structured white shirts and shifts with sharp black collars.

All guests at the invitation-only show were invited to an after-party at the boutique hotel, including fashion illustrator Pippa McManus, designer Poppy Lissiman, boutique owner Zara Bryson, Perth Fashion Festival director Mariella Harvey-Hanrahan and footballers and partners; Sam and Natasha Butler, Andrew and Rayne Embley, Chris Masten and Emmi Moore, Will Schofield and Alex Leahy.

My Kitchen Rules contestant Andi Thomas made an apperance with her Billie & Rose co-workers and revealed she and partner Josh Maldenis had just discovered their baby, due later this year, is a boy.

Bingle was "in awe" with the sights during her Perth visit and posted pictures for her 175,000 Instagram followers describing the coastline as "magical" as she flew in, jumping in front of a Moreton Bay Fig at Kings Park with the caption "in awe of nature" and another at Mettams Pool with Pippa McAuliffe and Emmi Moore with the note "picturesque Perth".

Bingle, who announced last year she planned to launch her own lingerie line, donned labels Garth Cook, Josh Goot and Ksubi during her stay.
