DUNGOG Film Festival has established itself as a premiere Australian film event and picked up an Inside Film Award last year.
It has attracted support from Sigrid Thornton, Hugo Weaving and Oscar winner Jane Campion.
It will go back to its roots this year.
‘‘This year we bring Dungog unplugged,’’ Dungog Film Festival director Allanah Zitserman said at yesterday’s launch in Newcastle.
‘‘A world-class film festival with a home grown feel.’’
The 6th annual Dungog Film Festival will move from autumn to winter and involve the Dungog community more than ever before.
This year’s festival will be held from Friday, June 29, to July 1, to fit in better with the town’s event calendar. More than 150 volunteers, many from Dungog, help run the festival.
