SOME people in a workplace take their food breaks more seriously than others.
If you’re at work now, look around. Go on.
You might glimpse the lady sipping from the thermos filled with something steaming, or the bloke whose day revolves around sales calls and drive-thru KFC.
But they all pale in comparison to this. This photo, sent in by a reader, reveals one of the best food-at-work efforts we’ve ever seen.
Council workers on the Shortland Esplanade have been busy fixing gaps in the fence left by recent battering waves.
Our reader noticed that, along with the tools, work vests and rails, they’ve hooked themselves up a toasted sandwich-maker.
Kudos, workers. We wish we’d thought of it.
