WE descendants of the Irish convict first settlers, alongside all those mainland European victims of war, make up the majority of Australia’s multiracial population. It seems that those few among us who originally arranged our dutiful, loyal, royal behaviour have done it again.
I mean, really, all this hullabaloo about you-know-who’s 60 years on the throne is a whole lot of crap. Globally, this is an age of democracy, power to the people, a time when all this uncalled-for public attention to matters concerning royal figures should be forgotten.
