A WOMAN has received numerous injuries when she was struck by a car and dragged 50 metres while attempting to cross a Mayfield street last night.
The Mayfield woman, 57, was crossing Maitland Road about 8pm when she was struck by a westbound car being driven by a Metford man, 45.
A police spokesman said the woman hit the windscreen of the car before becoming entangled on a mirror and dragged about 50 metres.
She suffered a suspected fractured hip and right ankle as well as abrasions to her knee and hand.
Crash investigation unit officers are in charge of the investigation.
