THEY’VE always been Australian favourites and now The Voice judge Joel Madden’s band Good Charlotte are set to play Newcastle’s Fat As Butter festival.
The festival, to be held on the Newcastle foreshore on September 22, made headlines last year when star act American star Flo Rida received a $55,000 fee to perform at the festival last October but failed to show up, sparking a legal dispute.
This year’s line up will feature Aussie rapper 360, rockers Grinspoon, British band The Mystery Jets and LA pop punk act Yellowcard.
There is also a nod to the ‘90s and early 2000s on the line up with Teenage Dirtbag rockers Wheatus, Eurodance act Eiffel 65 famous for Blue (Da Ba Dee) and British electronic music group N-Trance.
A host of Aussie bands will also make an appearance on the Fat As Butter stages including Urthboy, Hungry Kids of Hungary, Pond, Seth Sentry, Hunting Grounds, Shockone and Kill City Creeps.
More announcements will be made in the coming months.
Members pre-sale tickets available today. General admission tickets on sale noon June 28. Go to fatasbutter.com.au for more information.
