Jury in O'Heir trial to continue deliberations on Monday

THE jury in the murder trial of Scott O’Heir will continue deliberations on Monday.

Newcastle Supreme Court Judge, acting Justice David Freeman, had sent the jury out to begin their deliberations about 11.30am this morning.

They returned this afternoon as Justice Freeman allowed them to go home for the weekend.

Mr O’Heir, 28, has pleaded not guilty to murdering 82-year-old Singleton grandmother Hilliary Allen in her unit on March 3, 2009.
