LETTER: They should all be shot

I WONDER how many hospital patients contract influenza from hospital staff. Is it not strange that most doctors and staff in Victorian hospitals are not vaccinated against the flu?

With a surge in the number of flu cases this year, maybe it’s time the health gurus reminded doctors, nurses, cleaners and clerical staff to get their flu shots. New staff should not be considered unless they get their shots.

You don’t need a PhD in health to understand that this is the right action.

As for visitors to hospitals – no flu shot, no visit.
