A PART owner of Fanny’s of Newcastle will defend an allegation of intoxication in the nightclub earlier this year.
Co-owner Greg Logan Mathew did not appear in Newcastle Local Court this morning, but his solicitor, John Saddington, said Mr Mathew will defend one charge of a licencee permitting intoxication in the nightclub.
The incident is alleged to have occurred at 1.30am on February 23.
Mr Saddington did not formerly enter a plea on his client’s behalf, but did say that the charge will be defended.
The hearing will be held in September.
